The Inception
On Feb 16th, 2026, on a cold winter night two days after Valentine’s Day, my brother Nallis and I were leaving the Slow Jam Party, a staple event in the city of Toronto. We were waiting for an Uber but drivers kept canceling due to the late hour and location of the event. We decided to walk to Nallis’ condo, as it was only a couple blocks away. As we were walking creative juices started to flow and a conversation ensued. This was typical behaviour from us when we got together. We started to talk about the absent feeling of love in culture, life and in the surrounding environments we were in and what we could do creatively to fill the void. With gender wars on the rise, divisiveness on street corners and online, the commodifying of love and relationship for the sake of talking points without follow through, and “selfish love” healing journeys that seem more about people’s over fixation with themselves rather how one’s renewed wholeness reflects the oneness of humanity. Simply put, Nallis said what we were witnessing felt intentional. In my response I replied: “well then, love has to be revolutionary; Love must push against fear and division. We must become the Love Revolution.
That night, we made a vow: Love is____ will be the revolution that is televised — the movement that helps love rise again.
